Man puts magnets under skin to hold iPod Nano

Man puts iPod nano in his arm. That's going a little far for an accessory but then again its original. Not many people think of putting magnets in there body and attaching technology to it. Most would find it weird but I think its kinda of innovative and maybe he can attach more than just an iPod nano. But that's just me. I might replace an arm if it worked just like my original, but that's not happening anytime soon.

Children No Longer Need Facts Since They Have Smartphones

Children no longer need facts since they have a smartphone on hand. When they have class assignments they no longer have to go through the weird process of acquiring the facts needed. They can just look it up on their smartphone which is connected to the internet. The creative process of thinking of ways to find the information are no longer needed. They end up not learning core skills like memorization.
They have a worldwide "fact bank" at their finger tips. So the no longer need the one in their head. Which is terrible since their will be some situations were the smartphone will be of no help. They will have no sense of creativity since all the thinking will be done for them thanks to the smartphone. This will  lead  to a total dependance on the smartphone to do the thinking for them. That can not be allowed to happen.
To bring back the 50s way of teaching would be like  taking a fish out of water and telling it to walk. The children so  use to looking up information on the smartphone and telling them to look through a set of books  instead will be difficult for them. But it will be  necessary since that's what colleges and employers are looking for. People that can think for them selves and have independence.

Facebook discipline: Is this just creative parenting, or just mean? Good parenting or abuse? What do you think?

Great and creative parenting. She chose the best solution that would quickly solve the problem. She gave a moderate response with minimal public embarrassment. She believed in her daughter to handle  the situation correctly. Now the problem has been resolved.

Cell Phones used as a learning tool.

Can cellphones be used in the classroom as a learning tool. I don't believe the cellphone  can be used as tool for learning. Some students can connect to the internet with their phones. But not all students can connect to the internet with their phones. Some helpful information can be found if they use their phones. But those that cant will just be left behind.
But that's not all; along with finding helpful  information using their phones they will be sending messages while doing it. The screen for some phones will be to small to view the information. Along with that using the internet feature on their phones will drain the battery that much faster. So several students would have to be charging their phones during class. Which would lead to small conflicts over the few outlets in class.
The cellphone was not designed with education in mind. It was made for the purpose of communication. Attempting to use it for anything else would be meaningless. Cellphones in the classroom can not be used for educational purposes. It will only lead to disruptions in the class room and it would take longer to get any work done. Cellphones should not be used in the classroom.

Tell us about the games that have taken up your time?
The games that have taken the most of my time are UNBLOCK ME, DEFENDER, and BLOCK PUZZLE. Each game takes a lot of my time since you can proceed through the stages so quickly. Then you will reach a level were you get stuck and spend even more time trying to clear it. The games were designed to kill time since they're so easy to play.

Have they ever had a “scary power” over you?
No game has ever had a scary power over me. I play the game and enjoy the time I spend playing it. I can stop playing when ever since  all games come with a pause function. I can even just  turn it off when I'm done. Games have no power over me since I'm the one that beats it every time.

When do you tend to play them most?
I play games the most when I have  a lot free time.  Or when i have to wait for a very long time. Like in the doctors office or at thee bus stop. Also when I'm at home with nothing to do. But mostly when I'm just bored and want to be ignorant to forward movement of time.

Limericks

It was the greatest invention of it time.
when the wind blew it would  chime.
But left a void when the wind stopped.
It was so quiet you could  hear a  mop..
The wind blew and you would know the time.

Why do you think parts of the movie are in Black and White and some in Color?

The parts of he movie that were in black and white were showing that without books that world and your self are colorless. There is nothing interesting if all you have is a blank page. The parts that were in color  are showing you that when your books are filled with words life has color. But the only one that can fill the books with words and bring color to your life is you.

What do you think most people do when a web page takes too long to load?

Most people will try to reload/refresh the page when it takes too long. Either  that or they go to a new site then try again later. When the page takes longer than 5 seconds to load then they have waited to long.

Web Site Planning

It is important to carefully plan the design of  webpage. A webpage is open to public viewing so any mistakes will not only embarrass the creator but also make it hard for the user to properly use the webpage.

Tuesday, February 21, 2012

Useability and utility are equally important to visual design. If the webpage doesn't have an appealing look then web surfers will not want to visit the site. But if  the webpage doesn't have a very functional design then it will cause problems for the user when they are searching for files posted to the page. Both are important to the structure of a webpage.

Blog Posts

Why should you make sure the spelling, grammar and punctuation are correct before jazzing up a blog post?

It is important to always make sure that the basics are solid before you even think about  JAZZ IT UP.  To make a post with improper grammar and punctuations with a extras is utterly embarrassing. So always make sure your text is correct before you go for the added features.
